We believe God created the world and rules over it.
This world is not how it should be because we have rebelled against his good rule. However the good news is he has sent his Son Jesus who came and died on a cross to restore this broken relationship. This is available to all who would take Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
This means there is a relationship with our creator God to be lived out. This is made possible through God speaking to us through his word, in the Bible, and his Spirit.
Jesus is therefore good news for the world and it is through the local church that God has provided a way to make Him known and for the relationship with him to be lived out.
Taken from Jesus’ commission in Matthew 28:19, our mission statement is “Making wholehearted followers of Jesus Christ.”
We recognise this is a work of God which he does through us. Whilst we recognise we fall short of this, we seek to let this aim shape all that we do in seeking to make Jesus known and live to follow Jesus together in the community he has put us in.
Our church is an independently governed church and are members of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches.
